Score 17/20 · Drink 2005-2020, Walter Speller, jancisrobinson.com, Jul 2012
Medium concentrated, dark ruby with small, orange tinged rim. Herbal cherry nose, with hints of undergrowth and hung game. Juicy, sweet cherry underlined by bittersweet, persistent, notable tannin. No huge concentration, but delicious and fluent and long. Ready now. (WS)

About the producer

Querciabella
Literally translating as “beautiful oak”, Querciabella was created in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni. A pioneer in Chianti, he started farming biodynamically and experimenting with both varieties and winemaking – one result of which was Camartina, the property’s flagship Super Tuscan.
