Barrel sample. Mid cherry red. Ripe, lifted dark-red fruits. A lovely floral quality lifts it from the glass. Open, soaring fragrance. The 50% new oak (and 50% one-year-old) shows, of course, but the fruit is the star. Firm, lightly chewy. Great balance. (JH)
