Score 88/100 · Drink 2003-2007, Pierre Rovani, Oct 2003

The floral, melon ball-scented 2000 Vin de Pays des Bouches du Rhone white from the famous Domaine de Trevallon is a soft, flavorful medium-bodied wine. A blend of 45% Marsanne, 45% Roussanne, and 10% Chardonnay, it is fermented and aged in new oak barrels. Honeyed pear, toasty spices, and melon flavors are found in this pleasing, lush effort’s character. It should be drunk over the next 3-4 years.
