Bright golden straw. The hallmarks of this wine are minerality in abundance, creamy almost sticky nose with hints of pineapple and almonds. Again this is so complex in the mouth. It has so many delicious flavours, yet does not feel heavy. The minerality combined with the refreshing acidity makes this lip smackingly good and leaves you wanting more. FINE+RARE

Showing brilliantly, and every bit as perfect a wine as it was on release, the 2010 Ermitage Le Méal Blanc offers a vivid gold hue as well as a stunning bouquet of pure white peach, crème caramel, woodsmoke, celery seed, and crushed rock. Full-bodied, concentrated, and powerful, this is an incredible wine in every sense, with riveting focus and precision, a dense, concentrated mid-palate, and a great, great finish. It's still youthful and benefits from air, and I suspect it will evolve for another 30-40 years in cold cellars.

The 2010 Ermitage le Meal Blanc is pure perfection in a glass. One of the densest, most concentrated, decadent and thrilling whites I've tasted, it offers a sensational bouquet of crème caramel, caramelized peach, crushed rock and smoke. Unctuous and chewy on the palate, with awesome depth of fruit, it has thrilling purity, laser focus and a finish that just won't quit. White wine does not get any better and it will have an incredible 50+ years of longevity.

Light, bright gold. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes candied citrus fruits, nectarine, honeysuckle and beeswax, with a bright mineral overtone. Juicy, precise and deeply concentrated, offering fresh orchard fruit flavors and suggestions of bitter citrus pith and chalky minerals. Gains weight and power with air while maintaining its vivacity and finishes with outstanding clarity, thrust and persistence.
