Tasted blind. Deep colour. Some sweet oak on the nose. Sweet and fresh and comes to a rather sudden finish. Dry end. A little bit confected. (JR)

The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Boyd-Cantenac features smoked meats, dried herbs and savory aromas over baked berries and cassis with a pencil lead hint. The palate is full-bodied with a soft texture and bags of fruit and herb sparks, finishing warm.

This a solid Boyd with lots of ripe blackberry and currant character on the nose and palate. Full body, chewy tannins and a persistent finish. Should be an excellent wine.
