Pretty nose of cherries, bark, dried flowers, charcoal and graphite. Excellent freshness here, with juicy berry fruit and firm, tea-like tannins. Mineral at the end. Drink from 2025.

Inky purple in colour with a fist of toasted oak on the aromatics, but here it is skilfully coupled with a punch of cassis and blueberry fruits, and a lift of violet flowers, and creamy smoked caramel. It's exceptionally good, for me the best of the lineup, with clear precision on show. One to look out for, easy to recommend. 80% new oak. Lucien Guillemet owner and winemaker. No external consultant.
