Very dry vintage, small berries, hence the higher alcohol than in the 2013. Dark crimson. Smells darker and a little more oaky than the 2013. Savoury, dark and spiced. Very firm, chewy, but super-fine tannins. I love that restrained, non-fruity elegance. Chewy, mineral aftertaste. (JH)

No new oak, only free run juice. This is the second wine, from barrels that weren't selected for Sei Solo itself. Certainly a relief after the onslaught of Toro! Lovely perfume, great tannin giving a furry but yielding texture. Achieves great flavour depth without being overextracted. (RH)
