Tasting notes
The deep ruby-hued 2019 Columbia Valley CVR checks in as 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% each of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, and there are just under 6,000 cases produced. Beautiful Cabernet notes of cassis, redcurrants, tobacco, spring flowers, and cedarwood all define the bouquet, and it's medium to full-bodied, has a seamless, elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's a more elegant, silky, pure, classic Cabernet from this team.

The 2019 CVR Columbia Valley Red Wine has a classic, red-fruited, juicy nose with focused, ripe, round and accessible crunchy red and black fruit essences. Medium to full-bodied, the red blend offers a fantastic, dusty expression with elegant French oak tones that linger through the mid-palate before gliding to a brilliant, long finish that will continue drinking great for another decade. Just under 6,000 cases were produced of this mostly Cabernet Sauvignon blend with 2% each of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot.
About the producer

Founded in 1978, Quilceda Creek helped put Washington Cabernet on the world stage. Mentored by André Tchelistcheff, the family-owned winery became renowned for its powerful, age-worthy Cabernets and was the first U.S. winery outside California to earn 100 points from Wine Advocate.
