Tremblay's 2019 Echézeaux du Dessus Grand Cru cascades from the glass with aromas of dark wild berries, orange rind, peonies, spices and raw cocoa, followed by a full-bodied, layered and multidimensional palate that's ample and mouthfilling, built around beautifully refined tannins and lively acids. Concluding with a long, penetrating finish, it's an immensely seductive, elegant rendition of this site.

Dessus – the real, original bit! Cask sample. Transparent crimson. Much paler than her other wines. Ethereal nose. Really too good to spit. Long and rich on the palate. Nerveux . (JR)
