Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2021-2028, Jancis Robinson MW, Mar 2021
Grown on a gentle clay-limestone slope. Aged for 18 months in barrel (20% new). TA 5.6 g/l, RS <2 g/l. 3,500 bottles made. Classic, well-mannered white burgundy but it suffers from comparison with the Roulerie 2018 Chenin Blanc just tasted. This seems much duller. But is nice and open, and sleek-textured with all of the impact on a citrus finish. Very light oak imprint just keeps it savoury. Quite a pinch on the inside of the cheeks suggests it has quite a future. Not especially distinctive but there's certainly nothing wrong with it. (JR)
