Tasting notes
Good medium red. Complex aromas of redcurrant, leather and milk chocolate. Dense, chewy, soft and sweet but showing more underbrushy soil tones than higher-pitched flowers and fruit. Finishes with slightly dry, building tannins. I found more lift in the 2011 version.

Delicate and perfumed red and black fruit. Then more spiced, oaked, on the palate. Smooth, friendly and a spicy aftertaste. Good density with darker fruit on the palate. Gentle but firm grip. (JH)
Good bright red. Aromas and flavors of black cherry, licorice, violet and oak. Sweet and broad in the mouth, with a juicy quality and very good balance. Spreads out nicely to saturate the palate on the finish, which features dusty tannins and noteworthy persistence.
At last! The fruit dominates the oak in this Arnoux wine! Very promising – though also very expensive. Serious and really intense with great balance. (JR)
