Score 17/20 · Drink 2020-2026, Jancis Robinson MW, Mar 2023

100% Savagnin (aka Traminer), harvested in early October and fermented in 600-litre barrels (with malo) then aged for 24 months in 600-litre demi-muids with topping up (ouillé ). Bottled November 2020 under natural cork. RS <2 g/l, SO 2 total 29 mg/l, SO 2 free 9 mg/l. Deep straw colour. True to the style and offering lots of intrigue, fruit, oak influence and flor. Really exciting, energetic wine from a great producer. Nervy and fascinating. A rich undertow. Long. (JR)
