Tasting notes
Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2007 Paramour Proprietary Red has a gorgeous nose of crème de cassis, Black Forest cake and smoked meats with nuances of dried lavender, mocha, new leather and dried sage. Medium to full-bodied, the palate gives up slowly evolving black fruit preserves flavors with a chewy frame and just enough freshness, finishing long and savory.

(50% merlot, 45% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon) Fresh red-ruby color. Tight nose offers cherry and plum fruit aromas complicated by minerals and licorice and lifted by a floral nuance that shows evidence of the cab franc. Juicy, spicy and high-pitched but youthfully tight and not yet expressing itself. This very nicely delineated, young wine finishes with firm tannins and excellent juicy precision.
