Score 93/100 · Drink 2025-2045, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Sep 2021
The 2019 Corton Clos du Roy Grand Cru is excellent, offering up aromas of sweet berry fruit, licorice, warm spices, rose petals and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, it's deep but fine-boned, with a more linear, tightly wound profile than the ampler, broader Bressandes. With time, however, I believe it will emerge as Guyon's finest 2019.

0.55-ha parcel of 50- to 60-year-old vines, ploughed by horses. 50% whole bunch. Tank sample. Paler than most of this grower’s wines. Smooth and a little simple on the palate without the energy of some of its stablemates. A sample problem? (JR)
