Tasting notes
Vinfolio, Aug 2021

From 45 to 50-year-old vines in Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny, this Bourgogne Pinot Noir shows impressive concentration for its modest status – and is an excellent introduction to the David Duband range. With a large dose (40%) of whole-bunch fermentation, this is an aromatically expressive wine – with herbaceous and spicy, stemmy aromatics complementing pure, fresh dark berry fruit. As is typical of the 2019s, this is seamlessly ripe with fine tannins, but there’s a twist of red, crunchy fruit and salinity on the finish. New oak (30%) adds an effortless polish to the fruit, with mouth-watering acidity making this charming and gastronomic red Burgundy.
