Concentrated and silky yet very fresh. Easily one of the greatest to be ever made from Torbreck Descendant: No new oak used in ageing which helps the fragrance speak, sweet aromatics on the nose with an abundance of primary notes. Sharper and edgier tannins although the palate is much more caressing and creamy The Factor: A signature of the region, the texture is incredibly thick however plush with lots of layering and a lovely salinity. This will show primary notes for the first 10-15 years of its life The Struie: All the above will age for decades, but The Struie is also one for the long haul and will benefit from holding back to allow it to flesh out. Less dense and more fine, these vines are from a late ripening area which gives masses of dark liquorice and spices, with subtle hints of raspberry and gum tree The Steading: The signature for Torbreck, with impressive depth in color, palate, texture and flavour. Darker fruit notes and well-judged use of seasoned oak give great concentration for a much rich and dense wine - great potential for cellaring Juveniles: Lastly, with its chiseled tannins, juicy red fruits and great length and tension, this medium bodied Grenache, Mataro, Shiraz blend has a clean palate with a mouthwatering finish, I suggest starting here!
