From magnum. Oak and butter on the nose. Creamy, smoky and flinty. Much richer than the 2012, but retains balance, and the palate has plenty of flavour in addition to the oak influence. The lower acid gives it a appreciably different profile from Chardonnay, though the flavours are similar. Tasty and gastronomic. (RH)

Pre-phylloxera vines, barrel fermentation and natural yeast. Bit rich and sweet and umami. Interesting! But nothing like the citrus tension of most Rueda. (JR)
