The Bogan Shiraz is the product of 100% bush vines planted in 1899. A look at the 2002 ‘The Bogan’ Shiraz revealed a deep garnet-brick color and intense aromas of mulberry and fresh fig plus plenty of cloves and Indian spices. The palate confirms that there’s still a lot of life left in this wine with its full body, medium-high level of fine-grained tannins, crisp acid and plenty of layers of dark berry fruits and spices going long into the finish. Delicious now, it should cellar well to 2018+. Importer: Epicurean Wines, Seattle, WA; tel. (206) 923-1376
