Fine and fresh with good acidity. Not generous but very refreshing with only a hint of rhubarb. Finishes a bit suddenly. Chewy end. (JR)

Amazingly ripe, considering the reputation for English reds – 100% correct Pinot characteristics – cherry, violet, spice, a bit of anise and dark chocolate. The comparison with Burgundy is irresistible, and I’d sooner choose this over many village-level blends. Excellent oak integration, and real persistence. Outstanding. (RH)
