Tasting notes
The 2015 RTB Red Wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from To Kalon and Cabernet Franc from a top site on Pritchard Hill, is one of the best wines I have tasted from Susan Boswell in some time. A host of sweet cherry, plum, mocha and exotic spice notes emerge from this knock-out red. Hopefully the RTB is a sign of things to come.

Produced from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon and 50% Cabernet Franc from Pritchard Hill, the 2015 RTB Proprietary Red Blend has a very deep purple-black color and is profoundly scented of crushed blackberries, black raspberries, black currants and bay leaves with touches of damp loam, pencil shavings and unsmoked cigars. Full-bodied, concentrated and opulently fruited on the palate, it fills the mouth with tons of red and black fruit layers plus a firm, fine-grained frame and impressive freshness, finishing on a lingering perfumed earth note. This is a truly inspired blend, profound, distinctive and perfect in every way, promising to become a Napa legend. 221 cases were made.
