(destemmed): Good dark red. Captivating perfume of raspberry, spices, crushed stone and red licorice. Intensely flavored and penetrating, boasting terrific energy and lift to its flavors of red berries, minerals and flowers. Very concentrated and dense but conveys a weightless impression. The palate-saturating finish offers spectacular rising perfume. A wine from very stony soil: I'm sure I would have picked it blind as coming from Chambolle-Musigny.

Here too there is enough wood present to warrant noting it along with plenty of earth and more floral elements adding breadth to the red and dark currant scents. There is excellent size and weight to the medium-weight flavors that are blessed with fine phenolic ripeness of the supporting tannins on the youthfully austere, energetic and moderately firm finish.
