Dry grown 30 year-old vines, hand picked and sorted. Aged 10 months in French oak barrels. Unfined, unfiltered. Very pale ruby. Quite a subtle nose. Light, with a sort of grunt. Savoury nose, sweet palate verging on syrupy but awfully attractive. Very broad and as comfortable as a pair of old slippers. Rather jewelly texture with some sweetness. Jane Eyre wines certainly aim to deliver pleasure. Just a slightly saline note on the end. Very nicely put together. More depth than the pretty Mornington stablemate. (JR)
