Tasting notes
Made with 68% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 12% of the estate’s Bouzy Rouge. Beautiful salmon-pink colour with fine mousse. Refreshing acidity is seamlessly fused with crunchy red fruit, baked bread and almond. Charming and precise.

The NV Brut Grand Rose is an absolutely delicious wine, particularly at the NV level. This is a serious rose, which is immediately evident in the wine’s dark hue and dense, full-bodied personality. Their wine possesses layers of candied Pinot fruit, all woven together in a rich, sensual style. This sweeping, large-scaled rose will offer its finest drinking at the dinner table. This is Lot 235066, disgorged November 6, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011. This is a superb set of releases from Bara, arguably the most renowned grower in the village of Bouzy, where Pinot Noir reigns supreme. Importer: Kermit Lynch, Berkeley, CA; tel. (510) 524-1524
One of the small, high quality Champagne estates, Paul Bara's current line-up includes some marvelous, precise, impeccably well-balanced Champagnes that are at the top of the qualitative pyramid. The non-vintage Brut Rose (100% Bouzy) exhibits a light, subtle pinkish color, followed by elegant, strawberry/framboise-like aromas, excellent richness, small, pinpoint, persistent bubbles, and a long, dry, rich finish without excessive acidity. It is a refreshing, flavorful Champagne to drink over the next 4-5 years. This wine was tasted in May, 1997. Kermit Lynch's wines are available throughout the United States, with the import label "Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, California." Kermit Lynch's address is 1605 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley, CA 94702; tel. (510) 524-1524, fax (510) 528-7026.
