Fresh berries and bramble with more pure red than black fruit carry into a chocolatey herbal finish. Powdery, persistent tannins and a lifting, long, mouth-watering finish. (ECB)

A blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Cabernet Franc, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep ruby/plum-colored and offers Christmas fruitcake notes along with polished tannins, elegant, medium-bodied flavors, and excellent depth. Drink it over the next 15 or so years.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is an intriguing wine in that it is both overripe and slightly underripe. The 2013 has aged well, but there are also some angular contours and imperfections that suggest some challenges in farming and/or winemaking.
