Moderately saturated medium red. Strawberry and raspberry fruit aromas joined by mocha, brown spices, underbrush and a whiff of caramel. Rather plump and gentle in the mouth, with peppery but ripe red fruit, spice and underbrush flavors. No shortage of structure here. The wine's enticing sappy sweetness, substantial dusty tannins and noteworthy length suggest it will reward six to eight years of cellaring.
