Score 15.5/20 · Drink 2011-2018, Jancis Robinson MW, Jul 2007
Mid crimson. Light nose – currant bush, but very light. Some light savour and sap emerged, with even a hint of oak. Fills the mouth quite satisfactorily for a Listrac, though it is certainly in minor key and pretty light and lean. (JR)

About the producer

Fonreaud
Situated at the highest point in the Médoc (at a huge 43 metres above sea-level), this estate is thought to be named after a spring on the site, from which Henry II supposedly drank (a “royal fountain”).
