Good medium red. Initially reduced nose opened to reveal strawberry and spices. Sweet, generous and pliant, with pure flavors of red berries and kirsch lifted by flowers. This has the structure and stuffing to age but also offers considerable early appeal. Lovely wine.

Seems more casual and less impressive than some of the less expensive wines from F Magnien! (JR)

Good full red. Complex, refined aromas of creamy raspberry and minerals. Silky and suave but with terrific energy; this has real breed and detail, not to mention a lacy texture. Finishes with impressive breadth and a very fine coating of tannins. This is Echezeaux that merits the grand cru appellation.
