Pale straw. A strange, oak-derived(?) spice on the nose. Quite evolved and smoky and very bracing. Super appetising. Pretty tight and dry. Not weighty but well balanced and tense. (JR)

Sweet and slightly oaky – doesn’t remotely justify its price – there are so many decent little Graves Blancs so much cheaper… £22 Jeroboams (JR)

Talbot
Quality has not necessarily always lived up to this property’s Fourth Growth status, however there have been significant improvements in recent years, with a sustainable focus in the vineyard, and new winery and cellar.
