Tasting notes
Mid bricky crimson. Lots of sweet cherry fruit, just a little meaty. Sweet red fruit on the palate, so full of fruit at the core. Compact but now silky. Rich, generous and yet beautifully fresh on the finish. A classic with complex sweet but not oversweet fruit and a light leather character and still a long way to go. Long, silky and pure – and such wonderful fruit. (JH)

Very good – very dry. Ruby, healthy. Sweet coconut American oak nose – rather gorgeous. More animal and less mainstream classic than younger vintages. Round and lots of fruit in the mid palate even though there is structure too. Quite a dry finish. (JR)
