2006 Drappier Millesime Exception

In magnum. 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay. A multi-vineyard blend to show off the vintage rather than a specific terroir – from 35 different villages. It includes some fruit from the Grande Sendrée vineyard. Disgorged April 2018. No filtration. Dosage 4.5 g/l. Citrus and a touch of creamy quince. Rich and mouth-filling but still so pure and fresh. Very slightly chewy in the texture allied to a creamy richness. (JH)
