Cork stoppered rather than screwcapped. Warm year and Australian MV6 clone. No sign of the words 'Ocean Eight' on the labels but this is named after the family behind Ocean Eight. Pale ruby from an unnecessarily heavy bottle. Very light and fruity and to me a little simpler than some. Chewy. Lots of acidity but not a lot of charm. Transparent but a bit harsh. Not enough fruit for me. (JR)

Just one rather than two tonnes per acre. Again, rich nose but much drier, more austere palate. Lots of polish in terms of texture. Bone dry. Even austere and a bit dry. All going in the right direction though. (JR)
