Score 17/20 · Vinfolio
From the original Vaillon vineyard, this 1er Cru has more perfumed aromas than Defaix's Les Lys: white flowers, delicate green apple and a hint of crème caramel make the nose enticingly complex. Succulent green fruits and wet stone characters are perfectly balanced by the crisp acidity. This is all rounded off by a rich, creamy finish. Delicious. FINE+RARE

Delicate cedary/woody character of mature Chablis. Mild honey on the nose and palate. Gorgeous mature Chablis – miraculously full flavoured without any excess. Dry and a little salty on the finish, the cedar character persisting on the long finish. GV (JH)
