Score 16/20 · Drink 2012-2017, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2006
Relatively pale. Suave nose, lightly fragrant and Margaux-like. Some sweetness on the front palate. Just a little lacking in freshness but very easy and round and relatively soft. Seems to have ‘supermarket’ written all over it, I’m afraid. Very gentle tannins – not especially concentrated. (Second wine of Brane Cantenac.) (JR)

About the producer

Brane Cantenac
Château Brane-Cantenac has been a consistent performer in the Margaux wine appellation since Henri Lurton took over the property, but thanks to replanting and investment in the last decade, quality has seen another sharp upswing.
