Tasting notes
Monforte d’Alba. Cool fragrant cherry nose with hardly any sign of age. Really focused and linear yet ripe. Fine powdery tannins with a succulent finish. Beautiful spread and complexity yet still so tight. Transparent Nebbiolo. (WS)

Monforte d’Alba. Sweet and juicy, and showing proper development in that earthy spectrum. Floral too – really showboating Barolo’s potential. The tannins are already approachable too, though they need either lots of hearty food or another few years in bottle, preferably. (RH)
Mid ruby, though not that clear. Light nose that’s quite evolved and a bit simple. Not very ambitious or lively. Ticks boxes without really engaging the taster. Astringent finish. (JR)
Monforte d’Alba. Mid ruby with orange rim. Sweet raspberry and cherry fruit and a load of drying tannin on the finish. (WS)
