Initially a note of dried grasses and fresh lemon but there’s some red fruit here too. Attractive, slightly chewy texture, excellent balance with bright acidity, moderate length. GV (JH)

Quite a herby note on the nose here, and not much in the way of classic champagne flavour. A sour tang gives quite a kick to the finish too. Quite raw. (RH)

Light pinkish notes. Rather fine and sophisticated on the nose. A bit looser and less disciplined on the palate. But GV. (JR)

Small producer based in Villedommange. 60% Pinot Meunier, 25% Pinot Noir, 15% Chardonnay. Clean and open, if fairly simple, on the nose. Straightforward dryish wine (dosage is only 8g/l). Lightweight but honestly expressive. No great persistence. A good party wine? GV (JR)
