One 300-litre barrel. ‘I buy the grapes each year but I don’t always keep the wine. I sold in 2005 to 2007 inclusive; kept in 2004, 2008 and 2009 but I don’t know about 2010. Each year in my head I won’t keep it but...’ Greenish gold. Inexpressive at first, bit of a wild monster underneath. Looks very majestic after the Bâtards 2008 and 2007. Bone dry and yet with great concentration of fruit and terroir. Long and will make great old bones. (JR)
