Magnum. 25% Cabernet Franc, 75% Merlot. Carillon d’Angélus born. Lively rust colour. Sweet and a bit dull and lifeless. Drying out. Not pure! Very Merlot and a bit dusty and weak. (JR)

Blackish ruby – surprisingly deep. Simple floral nose. Very round and rather attractively old fashioned, Very sweet and round. Big and powerful. As though from another era but none the worse for that! Very good drinking now. (JR)
