Good saturated red. Superripe aromas of currant, coffee and smoke. Fat, sweet and powerful, in a slightly roasted style. Quite tannic on the back half. Bertrand Chevillon compared this to a Rhone Valley wine.

Boasting a mouth-watering nose of candied red cherries and raspberries, the light to medium-bodied 2003 Nuits-St.-Georges is an inviting, immensely pleasing wine filled with red fruits. Soft and easy-going, it should be enjoyed over the next 3 years.

Sweet and thick. Tannins a little severe, but a good mouthful of wine. Dry finish. Needs time. (JR)
