Matured in large oak casks and older oak hogsheads for 12 months. 89% Shiraz,11% Cabernet Sauvignon. Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, McLaren Vale and Coonawarra. Nose is alive and complex! Slightly salty bacon notes with, striking cool mintiness. Full and fruit forward. Very lively! Full blast of flavour, and then lingers with some wafting dark chocolate and berry flavours. Medium tannins and very slight bite on the finish – hard to believe it's 18 years old – seems so much younger. (VD)
