Tasting notes
Lots of vegetal character and generous vanilla oak. Smarting acidity refreshes that creamy oak style, and the citrus fruit (this is 100% Sauvignon Blanc) is luscious without being confected. (RH)

Fragrant with lemon and just ripe pineapple and just a touch of sweet spiciness from the oak. Rich and very crisp. Mouthwatering and quite firm, with a touch of skin texture that works very well. Really intense. Acidity just a touch too high, but that may work in its favour in a year or so? (JH)
About the producer

This Second Growth estate has origins dating back to the late 1800s. It is, however, under the ownership of the Dubourdieu family – who took over the Barsac property in 1924 – that Ch. Doisy-Daëne truly flourished.
