Last week I received a visit in my Calistoga office from Celia Masyczek to show me some of her available releases including Husic, Hollywood & Vine, D R Stephens, Corra and Lindstrom. As one of my favorite winemakers I was very excited to taste with her.
Over the past week you have seen my reviews on both of the Hollywood & Vine - 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, VF 94 and 2007 Chardonnay, VF 92
Celia also poured 2007 Corra Sauvignon Blanc, VF 94, now in its second release. It showed a minerally nose of key lime and grapefruit, with a luxuriously silky palate and a 45 second finish. Drink Corra Sauvignon Blanc over the next couple years. Only 197 cases are produced.
